THE CODE OF ORDINANCES

OF THE

TOWNSHIP OF SANDY

History:

This comprises the codification of the ordinances of the Township of Sandy. The Township of Sandy was originally settled in 1812 and was incorporated as a Township from parts of Brady and Huston Townships.

The Code of Ordinances of the Township of Sandy was published by General Code Publishers, and adopted by the Township Board of Supervisors on December 19, 2005, by Ordinance 2005-7.

Organization:

The Code contains four parts which are (1) the valid ordinances of the Township contained in Chapters 1 through 27, (2) the Appendix, which lists by abstracted titles all ordinances of a temporary or "one time" nature, (3) the Key to the disposition of each ordinance ever enacted by the Township, and (4) the Index, which is an alphabetical arrangement of subjects.

(NOTE: Due to the data sizes of the Code only Chapters 1 through 27 will be available on this web site, if one wishes to acquire parts 2, 3 or 4, one may request such Codes during regular Township Business Hours. The Twp Zoning Map is located within the Zoning Department page.)

(IMPORTANT: The electronic version of the Municipal Code is not the document of issue and the municipality's printed and published Code will remain the primary source and document of issue for all purposes. In the event of a conflict between the electronic version of the Municipal Code and the official printed copy, the official printed Code shall govern. The user is advised that there may be amendments to the Code which have been enacted after the last revision date of the electronic version of the Code.)
